new soft jam? SLOWROCK backing track.

Would love to jam over this, but probably not now. Recording some other stuffs...

It's a great backing track. ChanMin, u did a nice job improvising over it. Anyone else posting their version?

where's chanmin's?

anyone interested should do a whole take of the song. this will 'display' the melody construction and improv skills. 8)

Oh yes I remember that. Ok now u scared everybody away. Great...

Juz kidding...anyway u've good phrasing man...really shows that u've been playing for a long time...nice tone as always, with just the DS-1!

Hey y'all...newbie to the forum here. Can someone point me to where i can get similar backing tracks for free? :D

alamak..i tot this is full version one..
i posted wrong file.
shit man. i deleted the full version.
i spent nearly an hour now its gone..
will repost again next time. damn lazy to record again

stupid system restore doesn't work..ARGHHHH

Cool. I think u were trying to emulate the symphony for the backing ? For my opinion, it will sound less messy if the main riffs are taken out at the intro.. the 'symphony' will be the intro to build up the mood. Looking forward to the full version 8)

Sounds nice Shred! But I do have to agree with Rhoads it's kinda messy... But the violin effect is interesting. Do you use the volume knob on your guitar or a volume pedal?

I used the volume knob only... ain't got a volume pedal... :)

Ah... Since its messy, I shall have to redo it... been spending the whole day listening to it, I think I can rectify it! ;)

audio: Sorry to hear about your situation. Next time, don't delete files too soon! I also had a similar experience, with my sch project. Grrr...

ShredCow: Can't wait to hear your full version! I do like what I hear so far...

Anyway, I thought I'd share a ballad, recorded to this backing track. Note: It is NOT done by me (I wish!). When I first saw the video, I was pretty much blown away from start to end. It is incredibly melodic, even at shreddy parts. Actually I didn't even think of shred, cause it was just excellent phrasing throughout! It's the kind of tune that I can remember from start to end. Gets really intense at the later half of the song...

Some highlights: 3:25 tapping sequence...3:49 to 3:54 is his own style of sweeping. It's not the usual sweeping technique, it's extremely fast and clean. Listen to it! It's even more amazing on the video...He also does it on a couple of his songs...Other highlights: 0:00 - 4:31

Here's the mp3 I extracted from the video (sorry guys can't upload the video, too slow upload speed). And you really gotta turn up the volume and use headphones to hear everything. Some parts a bit hard to hear 'cause it's recorded live and the original vid is low quality.
