Went down to Swee Lee today ...
Tested 2 Ibanez Guitars
both thru necks

RGT42DX
wah ... the tone ... solid .. even on clean ~!
IBZ INF1 (H) neck pu
IBZ INF2 (H) bridge pu
and the necks were so wide and comfortable ...

RGT32
has a cross inlay, neck feels like the 42,
V7 (H) neck pickup
V8 (H) bridge pickup
but the tone ... wasnt as nice ...

Anyone got suggestions ??

Can i ask wat the difference between the Vpups and IHF pickups are ?

the crucial difference between these 2 guitars, is the floating vibrato bridge. i'd avoid the RGT32 for its TRS unit. the RGT42 on the other hand, sports the Edge II Pro- something that works & trustworthy.

Did abit of research also ..

seems the RGT42 is made of mahogany,
and the Rgt32 is made of basswood.

and yeah ... i think i'll avoid the RGT32,
but i just love the cross inlays ...~! :roll:
makes it kinda unique ... wish it was on the 42

Also the pickups are different ...
but ... i really dun wat the difference is ...
RGT42 - INF1 & INF2
RGT32 - V7 & V8
anybody can pls enlighten ???

You will still change the pickups in the end, I guess.
They aren't the best around.
And yes, avoid the dreaded TRS if you want to try whammying.
But... GO WITH THE FENDER TELE! :lol:
