since there's interest in the F hole teles, i'll point u to a few models: the Fernandes TE3. It's discontinued though so you'll have to hunt for one.

Also, from G&L, the Tribute ASAT Semihollows. Music Plaza doesn't seem to have any stock of G&L, only Tributes. But well you're always free to go down and try the Tributes.

Sustain isn't really a problem with semi-hollows.
The only thing semi-hollows have is the "airy" tone that it has. :wink:
There's quite a few Tele Thinlines at Sweelee BB I think.

you mean the gain on the amp right?

lotsa noise if you use it under high drive settings. it's quiet clean.

I prefer les pauls nd maybe you do too. besides im not really a fan of fender finishes, the gibson ones are much better.

well, you dont see worn-to wood gibsons do you? i HATE fender finishes too, but their bright sound lets me cut through and be heard but i love the 'worn to wood' effect on a fender...

personally, i think i prefer the versatility of fenders, and i think the ability of the finish to wear off is pretty cool. thats coz as human beings age, they gain wrinkles, and the wearing off would be a sign of the guitar's relative age/amount of time/use.

Went down to Swee Lee today ...
Tested 2 Ibanez Guitars
both thru necks

RGT42DX
wah ... the tone ... solid .. even on clean ~!
IBZ INF1 (H) neck pu
IBZ INF2 (H) bridge pu
and the necks were so wide and comfortable ...

RGT32
has a cross inlay, neck feels like the 42,
V7 (H) neck pickup
V8 (H) bridge pickup
but the tone ... wasnt as nice ...

Anyone got suggestions ??

Can i ask wat the difference between the Vpups and IHF pickups are ?

kinda out of my budget for the time being ...~

lol, thats good to hear! haha, just sacrifice the smokes for 2 months then, a tele can last far longer than a few packs of smokes

Or just go for another kind of tele, and change pups some other time.
The texas specials are damn good though, SRV sound.
