I am using a jackson soloist SL3 with a licensed floyd rose unit... previously before I change the strings, it was in tune and can do crazy dive bombs without running out of tune, now it can't stay i tune...

Can anyone please advise... thanks

I stretch it already... funny thing is when I whammy forward, it will be out of tune but when I whammy forward and backward, it will be in tune... is that how it should be?

Sounds like something is moving...

Check your nut, loosen it, then tune up, bend your strings a little, re-tune, lock the nuts - finger tight but TIGHT - then fine tune and try again.

Its normal for a floyd rose unit to go out of tune after a dive - out of tune like a few cents only ah, little little bit - and its easily rectified with a quick pull up. Good to make quick pulls a habit.

Ok... I got it... Thanks Shred, you're the man when it comes to floyd rose. So it is normal to go off by abit... but is it possible to be perfectly intune?

Aiyah, when you have used Floyd Roses all yoru guitar life, its quite natural to get an idea how it works.

Its normal to go off by a TINY bit... really tiny and only on some strings.

You can use lubricant, lube the knife edges/pivot point.

Or just do a quick pull up after diving.

Guys, the springs behind and its position may also play a part but normal if I changed into new strings then I let stretch out do a hundred or so Dive bombs and pull ups :D

ok.. if dive bomb will flatten e tuning, are you all saying pull up will sharpen the tuning? hahaa...

thats amazing if it works that way.. all i know is as long as u float e note around.. the tendancy is it will b loosen, as in e string tension.. and thus causing it to be flatter..

ok some1 please explain crystal clear
