Need help with BOSS Pedals!

i'd really say 1spot.

if anyone wants to go down the power supply route, i feel only the voodoo labs pedalpower is worth it leh, the rest are like glorified 1spots. :?

im not too sure about ed's though.

I'm using the brick currently, it does well and most of all, it's helluva small and light... Lighter than the Pedal Power I believe, well, preference lar... And the price is alot more cheaper, going for something like 170 at ranking?

warwick pedalboard from swee lee.. comes with the power supply..

The warwick pedalboard is a very good concept... integrated power source. Just need to plug the power cable direct into the pedalboard direct and you are ready to play. Only thing is how well the power source performs in bringing out the sound.

My band leader (very experienced musician) did a comparison between it and a voodoo labs pedal power 2. Apparently, there is noticeable loss of tone when using the warwick power supply.

I suggest to compare the sound for yourself before buying...

The dunlop DC brick is a glorified daisy chain.

Unless you use 18v, I don't see a difference from using a daisy chain-ed up 1Spot.

And blueark,

in cause youre wondering why shred said that, its cause the dc brick is not isolated, unlike the pedal power series, making it much like the favoured 1spot.

so does this ... isolation thing make sense? Does it work? Or is it a marketing gimmick?

Yeap... isolation does work especially when you have a good mix of modulation and dirt pedals, or you're mixing analog & digital pedals etc etc

You'd hear a distinct improvement in the noise department. Its all quieter.

And, if you are using a daisy chain system, you might actually hear/feel a difference in tone especially when using voltage/power sensitive dirt boxes.
