Need help with BOSS Pedals!

Hello. I was just wondering if any of you guys here could help me out with my BOSS pedals. I currently own 2 of them. The DS-2 and DD-3, i bought both a Roland Daisy Chain and an ac adapter from swee lee but however i cant link them together.

I checked the net and i realised i needed another pedal for the linkage between the BOSS pedals. So which pedal is needed or rather, recommended?

Oh and can anyone recommend me a 'universal' pedal board to store pedals besides the BOSS BCB-60 even a box or brief case would really be useful

Thanks! i really need this piece of info!! Im spending way too much on 9V batts already... =(

why can't you link them together? the connector cannot fit into the adaptor/pedals?

should be able to connect the adaptor to the daisy chain and then connect the daisy chain to the pedals. you don't need another pedal.

as for pedalboard, any board with velcro will do. Affordable ones are namely Road Ready and Westfield. there are some for sale on the buy/sell section. do check them out.. fast! :D

Apparently i cant connect... my ac adapter head is the same head as the daisy chain's... =( Oh and for the pedalboard, is there aplace to buy them from? a shop?

wait.. does your daisy chain have one head that is different? the last one. that's for connecting to the adaptor.

As for the boards, hardcase can be bought at Music Theme @ Peninsular plaza or Ranking @ Bras Basah. Esden @ SimLim brings in Westfield bags. or you can ask faizal_rocks. he's selling one at a goot price!

warwick pedalboard from swee lee.. comes with the power supply..

flamezz: the problem should lie with ur daisy chain.. it should have a hole for ur roland ac adapter to plug in..

if not, try one spot adaptor with its own daisy chain.

kjartan_v, YES IT'S THAT ONE. Screw, why is sweelee even selling that if it wont work? so i'll just bring my ac adapter to davis and try if the daisy chain connects to my adapter or isit standard?

neuro182, if i get a warwick pedalboard, will it power up all different type of pedals? cos im contemplating of getting a dunlop wah pretty soon and if there's a pedal board that can power up BOSS and Dunlop, it would solve all my problems at once

haha.. it should be alright because i used it for my boss adaptor (which i have sold). but you could bring it there to test just in case. who knows they have different versions now.

btw, the issue of powering up pedals is volt and polarity. as long as same volt (9v or 10 v or 12 v...) AND same polarity, can daisy chain them together. take note of the total current draw though. esp. for boss adaptor (max 200mA i tink). 1 spot is much higher (1000mA?).

Roland sells those daisy chains to encourage you to buy their tuner which "powers" your other pedals. In your worst case, with dodgy people selling you stuff you don't need, you'll end up with a board like this:

Count yourself lucky you asked us earlier :D

hmm.. thanks alot guys. btw, theblueark, that picture u posted, which pedalboard is that? is that a road ready? where can i get a road ready pedalboard?

I forgot where that pic was from, I just recall the guy who owns it had the same problem as you, and was told by some shop he needed a "power supply" pedal which you see on the top right. All it does is allow you to connect a male plug to another male plug, when you lack a daisy chain with a female plug.

I'm not too sure if that's a road ready. Make a trip down and check them out and see if you like them yourself.

You can get road ready cases from Ranking Sports at Bras Pasah, opposite Swee Lee. I don't really like them myself cos I prefer more rectangular than squarish boards. But they are much cheaper than the alternatives.

blueark: btw, i think that Lazer pedal can act as a looper cos there's send/return. quite practical except that it may not be TB. and the amp/guitar input/outputs are both on the same pedal kinda like your customised patch bay which i think is neat! hehe. but yalah, if just to daisy chain pedals, might as well do without it.

EDIT: just to add.. can the master switch function act like a mute switch?

I am a bit confuse here...anyway what should I get to power my 3 pedal with just one adapater?

I find myself stupid getting 3 adapter for 3 pedals lol

JW,

Are you just gonna stick to a 3 pedal setup? Cuz if you are, all you need is a simple 1-Spot from Visual Volume. But if your pedal setup is gonna grow much bigger, then you might wanna consider investing in a Dunlop DC Brick, T-Rex Fuel Tank, Voodoo Pedal Power 2 or even Edder's custom made power supply!
