i'm an acoustic player wanting to try electric. Wish to get started with $450 or less. Can someone give me advice on what to get to best spend my budget. Preferably with a les paul type cos i kinda like the looks. Should I get the stuff used or new?
thanks

shadower said:from what i know Behringer GM-108 is solid state, while Behringer AC108 Tube is tube. no? just reading off luther website.
vox pathfinder 15 and marshall CDR 15 seems too expensive cos that means i would have a buy a much cheaper guitar. i guess i'll get a amp thats <$150.
hm i think i'm either getting a craftsman lp cos i dunno anybody who can go with me to check out 2nd hand guitars. and i dont want to get cheated. just waiting for a sale or one of these shops.
shadower said:thanks all. Rufus, i checked out the prices for the stuff you listed. thats like 590, which way exceeds my budget of 450. i may consider that for my 2nd guitar/amp.
