IMO this year's sucks :?

yeah..this year's Theme sucks to the core...i mean why the mellow sound? it should at least be abit upbeat and catchy...not that we have just ended a 41 year war or something...damn!

the songs all start to sound the same after awhile...the last song I really remember liking was Where I Belong, the one Tanya Chua sang. think that was back in 2003, if I'm not wrong. after that all the songs just sound like remakes of each other. (do we really need a new one every year?)

Yeah, as usual, everything was lip-synched from the singers to the choir.
Joshua Wan composed this year's theme song. As well as previous years, so sound similar one way or another.

No James, I wasn't involved in the filming, they outsourced to some production company. NDP 06 Logo was created by 360 Productions I think, not through he logo contest winner.
Well, a few million was spent on fireworks in total. The routine every year must be the same. It was great having Electrico and Krueger perform during the pre parade(I was stuck at the DP-1 Base side during the performance)

If you guys watched the choir performance carefully, did you guys notice one boy talking to his neighbour in the middle of the song they were supposed to be 'singing'? He got excited because the camera was towards his direction. A few of them were not synchronise with the dance movements and alot weren't opening their mouth to make it look like they're singing along.

I guess after participating in the SYF Commemorative thingy 2006, my whole perspective of the choir performance for NDP changed. I mean, last time I used to think they were really live performances and were so good blablabla but this year I learnt they weren't really singing.

And that made me go on playing my lovely SIMS 2 and not watching the rest of the items for NDP 2006 (except the fireworks and them making MM Lee cry).

Man, the whole lip synching scandal went back since the 90's. I heard that only Kit Chan was the only artiste who didn't lip synch. The choir always dances. moves about.. wonder why ppl think that they actually sing?
