Now, when I look at my 20th Silo which is heavily played and cleaned, it's already blackish. And the guitar is only 3 months old.
Wanna make it look like new? Tips here - very simple. Just go to the handyman shop at shaw center, buy some 0000grade steel wool, and rub away the grime, will look A LOT cleaner. No worry on abrasion against the maple board - the maple board is bloody hard!
I think you need to show the USD breakdown for the guitars. List prices quoted are only hardtail. Trem is another $500USD (correct?)
Share my little research on importing, owning and selling Balls here: There is NO difference in the price of a vintage trem and hardtail. I am very sure to say this bcos I monitor and compare quotes offered by my dealer. Difference in prices are results of: Piezo or not, burst color or not, limited edition or not, Floyd trem or not, and, inflation/change in forex rate. If I am not wrong, EBMM practises bleakeven pricing. One evidence is the same pricing of a silo spec against the signature models such as Morse, AL. Second most ex is Y2D, Luke, Axis SS, then standrad JP, follow by LEs, and the top-of-the-line: BFRs.
Costs to dealer is the same, its up to them to mark up. However if you do custom order in a piece-by-piece basis, the additional upcharge comes in. Of cos mah, its sterling('s) Balls, nOT your ball, correct anot? But dealer can get breakeven pricing, bcos they buy in bulk. This explain why I can get same price for a trem and hardtail AL. But sometime also very different price for the same item.
You know Robelinda's LE06 Black Silo? I got a price for it together with a LE06 AL SSS. Prices that dealer offer me will make you laugh till you drop! LE models for only...$1399USD!!!!!!!! Too bad I was not into black guitar - very serious mood. But that was long story ago..Recently I was quoted a very attractive price on the Blue Dawn Silo Spec, so, cannot wait, must grab.
I cant really show an exact breakdown of the price though, if not people will poke poke here, poke poke there, say this say that. You wanna buy, sui, make a pact with me, I bring you the thing you want.
