Podxt with fbv, cos u dont have to keep bending over to adjust, and it wont take up as much space as a podxtlive would on your table(if u wanna tweak a podxtlive on ur table). Also live(not always la but it may happen, who knows?) you can minimise cable run from ur pod to the soundboard/amp and from ur pod u can run as long a cable as u want to connect the fbv->pod.

i'll go for the gt-8.....very easy to use...just use the knobs to adjusts its tones.ect.

so far i got it sound more analouge rather than digital...so im very happy.

Given a choice I would actually get a 2nd hand GT6. While I'm not really into modelling, I do find the GT6 generally okay sounding even if it sounds digital. And a 2nd hand GT6 is probably cheap on the market now.

Oh ya, the GT8/Pod XT Live looks a bit overkill in terms of size... that's another reason.

heh. i voted for the gt8 coz my guitarist has one. Can get pretty awesome effects out of it. anw... does the zoom g2 or g2.1 have that .5 sec lag when you change the patches?

nope, almost no lag, juz touch and go, dats y i had a digitech and sold it off, had a zoom before that, den had the digitech, the lag was bloody annoying so i sold it off and got another zoom

honest opinions, ive tried pod xt live, zoom, korg and the tonelab and the only one which passed was the vox tonelab SE. the distortion is good, not pedal good but reaching amp qualities, saturation warmth and smoothness without being fizzy. but dont take my word for it, do try everything out to see which suits u best.

pod xt live. purely for recording purposes, i personally found it user-friendly and gave me great tones and recordings... never tried it live so i wouldn't know. cheeers
