Movie: The Runaways

Just came back from this show. A few things I find disappointing: 1) Never really get into details how other members got into the band, except for Cherie Currie and Joan Jett. 2) Did not show how they really made it in the US and jumped straight into Japan tour. 3) Lita Ford was just a peripheral figure and was made the resident b****. 4) At the end, just telling what Cherie, Joan Jett and the manager did/achieved after the breakup and ignored the rest of the band members.

It's based on Cherie's Neon Angel autobiography but if they wanna do a movie about The Runaways, I think they should have gotten other members' side of the stories as well. Who watched it already? How do you find it?

What... no one watched? You'd better coz it had limited screen time in the US due to some promotional issue, and Singapore is one the few countries to show it right now. Even then only about 4 cinemas island wide are showing. If you like retro rock kinda movie this is for you.

Anyway, I found out some answers to my earlier questions. Lita wasn't approached when they started making this movie and she didn't want to have anything to do with it, she and cherrie didn't get along very well thus her bad character portrayal. Same as the bassist as such that her name was changed to a fictional one due to some legal reasons.

it was shown only in 3 cinemas in the whole of Singapore. Thats pathetic.

I think Singapore is the only country to show it now. Other countries screening go as far as september.
