Modding Wah-wah.

I do not notice much diff between my unmodded wah and my teacher's modded wah.. so i'll advise you not to bother unless it sounds unacceptably different while in the chain. and the LED is not that important unless you plan to gig i guess.. save money for other stuff! (:

trust me, wahs is where it makes the most difference boy...when i got an RMC wizard wah it was like night and day.

Go try them out. Goose built me a wah that has my favourite voicings built in(Vox wakka cleans and the vocal cutting RMC lead tones) which expanded my tonal options beyond that of what a typical RMC wah can offer.

Mrmisse brings in RMC wahs.

I see bro. I play at home most of the time so the Vox suffices as it is - mine does not seem to suck tone - perhaps its because its an MIJ piece? not sure.. haha all I know that it has no discernable diff from my teachers' modded piece

I see. I guess your teacher's one must have had mods to expand the sweep range, gain and stuff. Not much of a discernable change(since the wah tone basically remains the same) i can understand what you are getting at.

Mine was a complete overhaul but hey, if you wanna know what a good wah should sound like, the RMCs are difficult to beat. I would more or less say i found my wah tone after going throught about 7 wahs in total ( various crybabies and vox included). The wah i got from Goose is still in essence an RMC wizard but with the various mods so that i can get that vintage Vox "honk" if needed.

You just have gotta try an RMC wah to know what i mean, cos we can debate about this the whole day :)
