I want to ask if the country that they are made in makes a diff to the sound of the tele. I am planning to buy one soon, but the affordable ones are MIMs at sweelee havent seen any MIJ yet at sweelee, MIAs are like $2k + if i rmb correctly, Or does anywhere else sells cheap and good fender teles? So yeah, please help me out with this. thank you.

music theme should sell fender japan guitars i think. it's where the g77 used to be, opposite guitar connection(i think that's the name). i prefer fender japans cos i have small hands :)

Check out the Buy/Sell section if you dont mind getting used teles. The diff between the country would be wood, quality control and craftmanship.

hmm MIA and MIJ would be better than MIMs? Is a MIM 72 telecaster custom worth the money?

So what is the diff? i mean is the mim more bright or muddy ? please explain this to me, thank you =)

depends on your style really..Most MIJs have vintage specs (7.25" radius, vintage size frets, 21 frets) and single coils.. MIAs have a wide variety but American Standard and deluxe have modern appointments (S1 switching for deluxe, 9.5 to 12" radius, medium jumbo frets, 22 frets)
MIMs are like a mix if i remember correctly..the standards have features like 9.5" radius and vintage size frets and 21 frets..
If you have an MIJ-sized budget try looking for a used Highway 1 (pre-upgrade) Tele..shldn't be too ex and a great place to start..(and mod too)..

Country of manufacture? No, not really. Country of wood origin? Yes. But unless you've played much of everything, you won't be able to tell much of the difference, and honestly, why should it matter?
