i think i saw a similar article in today's Life section.
i don't see how making slanted eyes is being racist. we all like to make funny faces when we take photos. i'm an asian and i dont find that offensive in any way.

i guess when you're popular, the media has something to say about every little thing you do

To me, the people who pointed out the "fault" is more racist. They see a racial trait such as the Asian eyes as a being a fault or an inferiority of that race, so anything that constitutes the potrayal is seen as a mockery or "racist". And guess what? After all the reports and media potrayal of it being a "racist gesture", WE suddenly believe that it's a racist gesture. But is having Asian eyes a mockery? No, it's an identity. It makes us unique. We cannot escape that.

Why isit then it becomes an offensive trait to emphasize? Because the media says so.

...this is crap lah..media will always take the slightest flaw from celebs and make a big issue out of it..............

but to be honest..some asians have really small eyes...just some like whites have big noses........nothing wrong with that..it`s just the way it is...
