MI Audio Tubezone help

hi guys, i'm having a little trouble getting use to this pedal.
i just cant get the right sound.
well basically i'm i'm using an Epiphone Les Paul. but i changed the pickups to two EMG 81.
and it's just that i've been playing with my pedal and i somehow just cant get the tone right.
i truly appreciate all the help i can get.

ps: i play alot of post hardcore stuff. just need a heavy tone.

Top row: 11, 2, 11
Bot row: 11, 12, 1

and mess around from there.

I suggest getting a tubescreamer to tighten up the sound. The TZ by itself is very loose on the bass, even with the character turned all the way down.
