Please forgive me for asking, but how do i get about getting my DS-1 modded by Randolf? Does he have a shop or something?

Mr Randolf is a great person and musician. Not only will he try to custom-mod the pedals to your preferences, his advice is INVALUABLE. Trust his ears now, later, you'll listen back and there you have it - pure gold in his advice.

Add red & yellow fasel + ArielFX Halo inductor, add 12-way character switch, add Q Selector, add Vol control, add Bass control, add Gain control and then do TB!

Anyway, your wah is a Dunlop 535Q? Randolf has a VERY cool 535Q, older version, all CHROME!!! Damn bling and damn cool.

I saw Randolf's 535Q. Very nice chrome. But hes seems quite buzy lately. i just receive his email this morning. So dont know whether hes free this sat.

Oh you have a 535Q, thats good, then its easier to mod since the pots/controls are all there...

All the mods I mentioned have to do with the sound of the wah, it affects the way it wahs. I'm sure you know what th Q select does on your wah. The 5 way (or is it 6?) voicing selector too. Things can be improved.

embryo cant agree more ...gary moore is one of my all time fav since i saw his live vids ...the tone from his strat and les paul ..kills man..

as for the ds1 pedal its weird ... some sent for mod but later sell it other hav it stock and still its a killer sounding ...
i hav not heard the various ds1 mod ..but stock i find its already a killer..
just need to tweak the amps ..hehe

Yup it's really down to the fine tuning of the amp, the fingers and then it's about dialling in and playing the right stuff with the right sound for the right song.

Lee, if your 535Q has 2 small knobs on the side with a 6 way rotary selector and a red kick in switch then you already have a true bypassed Crybaby. If you want to use the 535Q with high gain settings on your pedals simply turn the rotary to either 4,5,6 dial in maximum clockwise on both the Q and Boost Knobs and kick in the red boost switch. This will give you the Vai like Bad Horsie crazy wah. want to go even more crazy patch an overdrive pedal befre the wah. If you want subtle as in classic 70's era porn movie soundtrack turn rotary to 3 and turn theq to 12 o clock and kick out the red boost. Wahhhhh....Sexxxxxy arh! Hehehehehehe.

My settings of my 535Q are:

Rotary Switch to 5 clockwise
Red switch on
Variable Q - Max
Vol ctrl - min (if max, got humming. painful to the ears)

You never say i never realise kinda sound like "Bad Horsie"
Correct me if im wrong. When i never plug in the adaptor, theres no sound. thats not what true bypass isn it? Even w/o adaptor plugged in, theres would be sound. I think so. Pls correct me. Thanks
