I just bought tis metallica new album death magnetic and i found it better than St anger after 5 long yrs... Im a biggest fan of metallica since kill em all but honestly its not the best as the first 3 albums but wat i can say is im impressed after 5 long yrs they r back on business with those riff/harmony/solo thingy . YEAH!!! "The Day That Never Comes", "The Unforgiven III", "Suicide & Redemption" are one of the best ballad thingy combining with one and fade to black thingy and i think it should be radio-friendly... Kirk's solo is back, James voice & lyrics are totally the best than st anger, lars drum backs to normal and rob's first time recording and producing metallica's new album... But no matter what this album rocks with songs that can make u headbang and "high" all night long like "All Nightmare Long", "That was just your life", "The Judas Kiss" and more... Regardless i rate this album 9/10. I cant stop listening to the new album hahaha

If ur metallica fans plz express ur opinions or reviews abt their new album...

Cheerz. Metallica Rulz

I've just bought it 15 minutes ago. Let me get acquainted and sayang sayang with it first :D..

i bought this album an hour ago and it simply screams metal up your ass. honestly, st anger was shit (not all of it tho), and this one is back with a fresh new sound. the 80's thrash metal sound is there, but the band's way of writing their songs in this album in modern times simply leaves me speechless and astounded. usually i would be turned off by the first few tracks of an album since the good shit is in the middle, but track 1 already blew me away. and hey, KIRK'S SOLOS ARE BACK BABY!!! hell yes, ive missed 'em since the release of st anger. Jaymz has awesome riffs in the song, but looking thru the lyrics, he hasnt lost his touch ever since kill em all. my particular favourites of the album are cyanide, my apocalypse, that was just your life and the judas kiss. i was also very impressed with the the day that never comes as it is somewhat of a "Fade to Black"-esque track in the album.

overall, this album is sick, and i rate it 10/10. LONG LIVE METALLICA!!!!!

yeah man... u shld check it out.. tshirt plus so called metallica credit card to allow u to download 2 live shows online and more.... Interesting huh...

I checked it out at HMV just now.

Though I wouldn't say it's gonna be a favourite Metallica album, there are some reminiscence of Justice with a touch of Black album.

Production value under maestro Rick Rubin is top notch, though I don't expect anything less from this man. Song structures are mind-blowing; they really throw in a lot of surprises in each track, though the riffs didn't really impress me, and that is probably why it's not an album for someone who expects that pre-Black Album era. James voice no longer have that edge that it used to have. But most definitely DO NOT sound anything like any of the post-Black albums, which is a definite plus.

So I will echo the sentiments of most people here with a little bit of disclaimer added: by not going backwards into time to pre-Justice era, but instead picking off from where they left off since Black Album...

METALLICA IS BACK!

PS: Listening to the songs online and listening to CD, it is definitely not the same. Lars' snare and James' vocals sounds so much better at HMV. I urge all Metallica fans who have not yet lost their faith to go listen to the real thing.

yeah

yeah man... As THOA trying to say dun expect this to be anything like kill em all or black album etc but i shld say im impressed with the way they produced and rearranged their music out of their own freedom without therapist or so for the first time...As we know metallica is full of surprises and here's one of them "DEATH MAGNETIC"... After 5 long yrs i shld say im proud of them... ROCK ON!!! YEAH!!!

Me and 3 other friends bought it almost as soon as HMV put it on the shelves yesterday and we headbanged and moshed to it in my living room like crazy!

9.8/10

i would agree this is a pretty solid album. but still i have some issues with james writing real cheesy lyrics this time like 'love is a four letter word' from the day that never comes.... however instrumentally wise i love its structure of the song, just like the good old fade to black, sanitarium and one!
