Old school is kinda like the heavier rock. Take venom for example they're kinda rocknroll but in a satanic image. Old school metal is rock plus a pinch or heavier sounds.. And then slowly it gets heavier and heavier

When one says Metal & just Metal by itself, it means Metal as a genre & not a sub-genre; simply 'Metal as a whole'. Im talking abt devil-worship (just 1 simple definition) here, & not Atheism (shouldnt evn talk abt Lucifer) or Anti-Christianity (wide field of definitions). If u were to do a research u'd land with a result indicating tht Metal isnt abt praising Satan. 70% of the genre DO NOT have such themes.

Take note that when u say Metal, u mean Heavy/Power/Thrash/Folk/Viking/Industrial/Black/Death/Doom/the list goes on (excluding new sub-genres). Thus, HIGHLIGHTING devil-worship is not a very sensible thing to do in a broad-based music forum where most are not well-informed of Metal & Friends.

i'm a fan of slipknot. to me, it's metal. for you, it isn't. don't try to prove your point or put your point to us with that comment of yours. no offence. it's just what i think.

for me, i'm a someone who doesn't listen to any other genre. i'm just listening to metal and metal everyday. call me stereotype, go ahead. :lol: meybe other than listening to the bands from roadrunner, try listening to bands from lifeforce records.

Unearth riff are great, anw i love the old metal and modern metal.......as long as it keeps its roots towards metal...ppl have opinion abt how should metal sound like.....as long is not mainstream or a household name where ppl can relate too often....for example....a local sport show on ESPN call "FOOTBALL CRAZY" state that SLIPKNOT was a Death Metal band...

That's why i look out for bands that are not overrated and mainstream here... It just shows how weak one's knowledge is in metal... Think of it this way, when you knew a band before it got popular, you love it... When it became popular like perfoming concers here, people who just knew them ruin your likings for the band... But a true fan doesn't mind it anyway...
