Yes! Calling all Metalheads. We need a thread for you guys and i thought i should create one. Sorry if this had doen before.
But i would like to see how many metalheads stay true to their music and recommend one another bands we do not know...
 
Basic metal genre? How many sub-genre of metal are there? New age core is shit... What's with those emocore, metalcore and out comes fashioncore... Know your music...
 
80's metal was the best.

i hate all this new metal shit, like trivium and bullet for my valentine and whatever. some songs are ok, but as todays metal...tsk tsk tsk its just horrible.

Thrash and general heavy metal is probably my favourite. Exodus, metallica, megadeth etc.
 
Remember? New Wave of American/British Metal...Haha! Which is also known to scene kids as Metalcore... You like Metallica huh? Have you tried Mastodon? Awesome Progressive/Sludge metal. EMPEROR! KING OF BLACK METAL!
 
i guess i'm not a 'metal head' then- i only appreciate good guitars in various genres, metal being the primary interest.

i only acknowledge the metal sub-genres before the 'nu' tag was introduced. these are poignant terms concocted by the media to invoke a certain familiarity among the masses.
 
You made it sound like i really meant real metalhead... Never mind, just share and oyu'll learn from others... You're more than welcome... But here's something for you, "Nu-metal bands like Korn and Slipknot are never considered a metal band...
 
Nope, I havent heard a single metalcore song except a song by the "between the buried and me" which is supposed to be mathcore?:lol:

i consider this popular opinion from orthodox metal fans angry at the world for conceiving something different.

Pantera: i like Darrel Lance Abbot more than the band...
 
i dont like lamb of god. although they're AMERICAN METAL... i really dont like them.. think its stupid. listen to MANOWAR. they're TROO METAL

i love the 80's and early 90s metal scene. Metallica,Megadeth,Pantera, Judas Priest, RUDRA, Behemoth just to name a few of my fav bands

I agree with subversion about dimebag.

I'm not a big fan of their music, some songs are awesome..some are just..not as good but dimebag man.. noone can top that guy, ehs my idol.

heard the kerrang master of puppets tribute cd? Its made up of pretty much 'core' bands. Machine head used to be good but neeh not so much anymore..
