marshall vs smarvo

i tested the smarvo 40w amp already.......... the clean is ok...... distortion sucks........ but the chorus thing is quite good...... if only the amps distortion is better

Recently just acquired a Vox AD50VT, i know some of you guys might say it's overkill....but for the price i reckon that it was a steal. Vox's merger with Korg has given this amp a bang for its buck, the onboard effects esp the delay and reverb are pretty good....the amp modelers are also surprisingly very well emulated, i suspect the 12AX7 tube in the power amp section is giving that warm, full sound.

Even tried playing it on high gain, then cutting the volume on my guitar...the signal cleans up really well. For the price of these amps, i would certainly recommend you guys to go try the Valvetronix series too :) Hope that helps

Suddenly my marshall 15 watts practise amp is sooooo outdated...

Just curious how much u got ur Vox AD50VT? Anyone know the price of AD30VT?

got mine from luther's for 445...showroom piece though but checked it and looks pretty fine to me. not sure how much the 30watter is retailing tho...maybe give them a call? i guess its a personal thing, but i usually prefer amps to have 12inch speakers....sounds better. some psychological effect on me hahaha

The Ad30vt costs around 330 to 400. Citymusic i believe stocks them.

I second the VoxAD30vt. For its price, features and its overall tone, its the best valued hybrid amp, second to none.

*this topic should be changed to marshall vs smarvo vs vox.*

Yup yup.. But can I know where is Luther Music Shop located?? Haven't go there yet.. Haha :D

I had a AD30VT and I actually sold it after a week. It has a lot of bells and whistles but it didn't give me a good vibe... the dynamics don't show too well in my opinion. My friend seems to love it though. Maybe it's just me. I do think that the analog-modelled sounds of the GT2 through a PA system sounds great though.

Pier.
