do u think these are good for like portable playing? like going to school to let others hear a song or playing at the beach? because it looks quite cute, and anybody got a review of it somehow?

I guess you can't beat it in terms of sheer portability.

But if you want some quality, the Roland Microcube is the way to go.

what's that? i want something real small that runs on batt and can fit in a small bag and real light...

lol, there are 2 of the ms-2s in my home, one mine, one brothers. those are power stuff, considering they run on batteries and are so light. usually i have every knob at full and the amp in the overdrive channel. it should be loud enough for bedroom playing, and i think it'll do pretty good in the scenarios u mentioned. also, the 9v batteries last a pretty long time b4 they start conking out, so its pretty good value for money imho.

i own both the mini Marshall amps, (MS2/4). they perform well on adaptors rather than batteries- once the battery wears out, you'd here very fuzzy tones coming from them. but then again, having it run on adaptors defeats the purpose of it being 'portable'.

i also own the Fender Mini Twin (discont'd)

also, check out Danelectro's mini amp in a pedal form- Bacon & Eggs

which is better? ms2 or ms4?

the ms2 has less "power" compared to ms4, if im not wrong. by power i mean max vol. ms2 costs 56, and ms4 is 75 at luther. aside from the volume diff, i think they sound pretty much the same, correct me if im wrong though.

I have a Marshall Ms-4 and to be honest, its the biggest 50 bucks i ever wasted. Apart from a 50 bucks on a girl once..but tahts a nother story. I usually end up playing with no amp because that thing sounds so bad,

I own an MS-2 for years... i can't say its mind-blowing, but it performs much more than what i expect from this size... my favourite travel kit so far...
