For those who don't know, CQ is the one who is behind ManUtd's tactical positioning - not Ferguson. Our extra, Extra Strength Panadols intakes the last many-a-days is due to CQ's tactical acumen.
He is too into the continental way of playing football. Not what ManUtd is all about.
When Ferguson leaves, CQ will also leave. That's the scary thing because there will be major changes at the tactical and player management level. But My preference, from the heart is Mark Hughes, aka Sparky to ManUnited fans.
From my head, not-so-good, is Martin O'Neil. Best manager in the Premiere League and the closest to playing football the way ManUnited plays.
I don't think nationality has anything to do with ManUNited picking a manager. THeir best players have been English, (Charlton), Cantona, (French), Law (Scottish), Keane, (Irish), Ronaldo (Portugeuse) - get the picture.
ManUnited is a team with global history, support and hence, inclinations. It's the best man for the job.
I think CQ will leave at the end of this season. He has received good offers from afar.
Ferguson has done the unthinkable by saying that he will leave by the end of next season. To me, that only means and that he wants to leave with a sense of continuity. To me, that means the next manager will join Ferguson next season - to allow for the continuity. And to me, that continuity means the utmost desire to win.
Say what you want about Ferguson but his desire to win is what made/allowed him to stay at OT for over 20 years. May that continue.
Cheers
