I'm not too sure about this one. Sure, I want Man Utd to win. Even a scrappy 1-0 would be splendid. But West Ham's pretty unpredictable, forget not that they've had an excellent record against Man Utd in recent seasons. Ugh.

Man Utd for the win! 2-0!

I think Fergie and Carlos will change something, too much is at stake to do anything rash or stupid yeah.

Id say Man Utd will win maybe 1-0 or 2-0.

Our defence is pretty solid, but with vidic out...(i think he;s still injured right?) They might score one.

Hmmmm.........i wld think that Fergie will stick to his philosophy of 'going for their bloody throats'. It works everytime. However, i want West Ham for the win, they can play some entertaining football and they've got some really exciting footballers coming out, like Fred Sears. If they had managed to hold on to all their young stars, the team wld look something like this:

GK Robert Green
RB Neill
CB R.Ferdinand
CB A.Ferdinand
LB A.Cole ( this one not sure )
RM J.Cole
CM Lampard
CM Carrick
LM Ljungberg
ST Sears
ST Tevez

Scary huh?

MU 4 - Hammers 1

a great finish to the final match @ Old Trafford.

Ronaldo scored with his thigh... to make it 40 & i missed it because i was re-stringing my guitar...

woooo!

i, in particular, really liked wes brown.

that tomkins chap is pretty good eh.

man utd ftw; all the pressure's on chelsea! go go go newcastle.

Brown has come a long way from the sluggish player that he was once, to the rock he is of late- the reson fergie gave a thumbs-up to his new contract.

Manchester United will pay tribute to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in August with a testimonial match to mark the Norwegian's 11-year career at the club.
The Solskjaer testimonial match will be against Espanyol of Spain on 2 August at Old Trafford, and form part of the team's pre-season preparations.
Striker Solskjaer retired last August due to injury problems after netting 126 goals in 366 appearances.
"I am delighted to be given this game by the club," said the 34-year-old.
"It will be a very emotional day for me, to play one last time at Old Trafford in front of our amazing fans.

"I am going to savour every moment and I hope the fans and Manchester United can also share in my special day."
Solskjaer, who is now on the club's coaching staff, cost United just £1.5m in July 1996.
He frequently made telling contributions from the bench, notably in the 1999 Champions League final when he scored the winning goal.
He also famously netted four goals in 12 minutes in a substitute appearance against Nottingham Forest. Manchester United chief executive David Gill said: "Ole is one of Manchester United's true professionals. "We look forward to hosting the first pre-season game at Old Trafford in honour of Ole's illustrious career."

Got the following from RedCafe.net

------------------------
One of Wilf McGuinness's first games for United's first eleven was against Wolves at Molyneux, after Sir Matt had done his usual speech to the troops about passing to a red shirt, Jimmy Murphy came in to really wind them up, "McGuinness, what will you be spending your win bonus on" Wilf muttered something about saving up for a new car, "Bollocks lad, you'll be bying your Mother some flowers and chocolates" Wilf agreed, "Now Son, your'e up against Peter Broadbent, tricky customer, if he has his way your dear old Mum wont be getting her treat" Murpy continued in this vein for several minutes, berating Broadbent as a chocolate thief, and how sad McGiunness's poor old Mum was going to be. By the time they got onto the pitch Wilf was fumming about this injustice, shortly after kick off Broadbent recived the ball and started hurtling down the wing, Wilf plowed into him like a tank, and depositted poor old Broadbent on the running track, as McGunness stood over him Broadbent asks, "What the hell was that for" to which Wilf reply's "Show my Mum some respect, you bastard"

Ole was one of Fergie's favourites.A professional thru and thru. This baby-face assassin is the ultimate goal poacher, IMO. He could come in late in the game and knew what was needed and played his role very very well.

Fergie's faves are those quiet, without fuss players-Scholes,Ole,Robbo,Dolly and Daisy,Choccy...to name a few..although Cantona is one of the exceptions..he's one of the "glamour" players but then he's the King...

Ole=legend. I respect him too, seeing as he's made several telling contributions. I particularly like his attitude, he gives his all and never makes noise, even though he's mostly used as a super-sub. Another Paul Scholes and i'm sad to see him go.

Solskjaer is one very respectable character in the club's records- he has the right attitude to be a role model in this sport.
