Man pours flammable liquid on MP, sets him on fire

SINGAPORE : Member of Parliament (MP) for Yio Chu Kang, Seng Han Thong, is in hospital with 10 per cent burns after a man poured flammable liquid on him and set him on fire on Sunday.

Mr Seng was at a bursary and hong bao presentation ceremony at Yio Chu Kang Community Club when the attack happened.

Okay was just kidding.But still the dude is insane.Wish MP man a good road to recovery.
 
this was not the 1st time MP Seng was assaulted..nevertheless, his security detail have a lot to answer for and heads will roll..again
 
OH MY GOD.. so this was what was happening when i was there in the afternoon. so many ppl keypohing i couldnt be bothered to see. but there was a fire engine and an ambulance.
 
Apparently, he was giving out hongbaos to the needy, and to be considered 'needy', certain criteria have to be fulfilled. The sum per hongbao was $200, quite a bit. This 70 year old man queued up for quite a while but when he found out he was ineligible to receive the hongbao, he got so angry he did the deed.

Wat is with some old ppl these days? They think the own the world jus bcos they're more senior and blabla. Apparently, this old man had been nursing some hatred against this MP for awhile. Does this mean he's qualified to do stupid things like this? Hope he spends some time in jail.
 
loldude333: many senior citizens choose to believe that the younger citizens owe them a living. thats why this "group" of senior citizens are rowdy and foul-mouthed and everything else.

and i don't think he'll serve a jail term. too old. hefty fine, most likely.

ah finally i know the reason behind it. but the chinese news said middle aged man?

???

i thought the mp was unfair or something, how come will get assaulted twice... anyone know the reason behind the first attack?

the worlds getting a lil too retarded for my liking, all the chaos around us, wars, earthquakes, food issues and now pple trying to burn other pple. why cant pple just try to make a decent living without having to impede into the lives of others. i wish MP Seng a speedy recovery.
 
not to sound like a 'the end is near' wacko,

but i believe money is the root of all evil, there are fundamental problems with our current money systems... this would never have happened if he had enough money...

well i shan't go into detail about the 'fundamental problems'..
