hi there!! =) i was wondering on how to make my guitar sound more fuller.im recently just starting to get my own gear & im using a rat2 for my overdrive.i play alternative/indie kinda stuff so i like my gain low but i'd like to have that extra "punch" yet at the same time i dunt want it to be too heavy.i just need it to be more "fuller" if ya noe what i mean.a frend of mine suggested to use a tubescreamer.so i was wondering if anyone else has any other suggestions.hope you guys could help me out.thanxx =D

yeah, add a overdrive to your distortion to boost your gain slightly and make your tone creamy

the tubescreamer is an option that you could try out

a compressor can do something similar as well.
lets say your guitar isnt some high end one with nicely set up pickups/strings/ etc chances for the bass and treble frequencies to be uneven are high..
if your amp's at neutral eq, your "punch" may not come evenly on every string you pick.
so a compressor will help smoothen it out and more "punch" is injected when u crank its volume..

it works like that for me, just my 1/2 cent..

hmmm ... 4x12 is overkill ...

im currently using a Genz Benz g-flex 2x12. its got a huge bottom end... id say it performs better then some 4x12s... really good stuff... very punchy, great low end and projects very well.

i was half kidding ha. 2x12 also can, i have one for sale. (shameless plug)

you will need the clean channel to be warm and bassy itself already, since you are essentialy running all your pedals thru it.

thanxx so much for the reply guys.but i was thinking on gadget wise.how about using a comp?although i wud hate for it to have that "buzzing" sound.

I hate to tell you this man, but honestly, it's useless to try to sort out your question when there's no way anyone can know how you currently sound just from reading your posts...

Maybe posting some clips might help. I can throw you the whole gear industry's products, but if I don't know what the baseline is, then I'm wasting your time...

i think some chicken rice or nasi lemak might help..

Anyway i uses delay pedal 2 create that space. EVH uses a phase90 to create that big sound(note, he runs it thru the efx loop, not like regular user). Many others depends on reverb.

These kinda modulation adds back the room feel from the dry sound you are hearing. In case of a real big hall, you wun need that but still it's important to use them.

You will have to list our what you currently have first before anybody can help. Otherwise time will be wasted trying to recommend unrelated stuff!

oh.haha.im so so sorry.im a beginner at this.well sound wise id like to get the kinda sound that bands like west grand boulevard, say no more, sherwood, jimmy eat world has.

oh & hey Gr3y,yeah back when i was using my multieffects i wud use a lil delay like what u mentioned.although now that im learning to use individual gadgets it wud be very "mah-fun" for me to have 2 delays wudnt it?sorry if i sound to amateure =)

something straight off my mind - a MI Audio Tubezone or a MXR CAE Linedriver , tonal obesity to the max. ElectricCars*hint hint:D
