Making a gig/concert.

Hi guys,

Do tell us , which place would be the most awesomest place to hold a gig/concert, which no other organizers ever thought of.

Also, do specify which is the best time to hold one. As you, We don't wanna clash with O's / N's and other whatnots, gigs.

So do brainstorm it here. I know this thread has been opened for quite a no. of times.

hey, its an idea! so in the brainstorming rules, all criticism is ruled OUT. Freewheeling is welcomed. The wilder or more radical the idea, the better. Quantity is wanted. The greater the number of ideas, the greater the likelihood of obtaining a superior idea. and Combination and improvement are sought.

Hi biopromax.... Well I can share my experience with you about organizing one... A few years back I have organize a few gigs myself. If you want something different why dont you try to do a Vans Warped Tour.... like a mini skate park and a stage.... where everybody can have fun. My previous gig were all Community Centres and a school. But now I guess CCs are very strict on doing a gig. Well doing one you gotta really fork out some cash to do one......

Here are some problems i faced:
1) Funds for rental of equipment, doing of posters, ticketing, cost of the tickets and preparation of the gig like food for the people involved....
2) Some bands tends to be fussy, they want certain time slots to play or refuse to play as the first band,
3) Skinheads!! During my time, skinheads almost pick a fight with the metal heads so eventually police were called in.....

Also the best is always do from a 1pm to 11pm gig.... I organize in that manner. Not forgetting, cater to multi-genre like metal to hardcore to punk to nu-metal to ska to oi to crust and what so ever so as to gain more audience to your gig.....
