Making a gig/concert.

There used to be (or maybe still is) an open in bedok south. have always thought it would be awesome for gigs. really big, and really open. only problem, its next to housing estate...dunno if there'll be problems holding a gig there.

how about the Padang man? that one also nice. central etc etc. rooftop gig i've seen before, there was one with Stompin Ground around Gas Haus area sometime ago. dangerous, but looked damn fun! :p

Holding a gig at Skatepark is a good idea too. last year (if i'm not mistaken, it was last year) went down for such a gig, but it was actually a skate competition / gig. the idea was great, but can be an organiser's nightmare! lol. gets lotsa people to manage such an event. interesting thing would be to hold a punk gig (just a suggestion) with skaters, and let them skate while the bands play.

Think there are certain dangers where broken down, dilapidated warehouses are concerned. holding a gig in such a place, might end up being closed down by the cops....very nice idea though. have wanted to play such a gig for a very long time. will look around for a venue like this and let u know :)

good luck dude, hope it pans out

We know the law, so no worries.

Bro,

Permit obtained for this Train(ed) gig?

If not, then how r u gonna handle the law, or at least the station regulators?
Commuters may find it a nuisance and start complaining, they just need to whip out their phones. And there are cops patrolling trains and stations.

But it's a great idea anyway :)

Yeah, Im sending some 'proposal' to SMRT regarding these. But not sure how to convince them.

Im sure theres some event(s) in the MRT before which was featured on CNA before. I think with the DIM SUM DOLLIES . HAHA.

Yeah, Laws.

Hey, how bout a gig at OCH...mayb a gig for black/death metals??
haha they can do their rituals there too.

Anybody know who to contact for the Old Cathay Cinema or Capitol, near City Hall?

I find that , that place really good for gigs, dunno why. Very unique.

Do Pm me if you know the person in charge of the place.

Hey!!

How about at a University Campus in Singapore? We seldom hear a gig made at a University Campus so it will be interesting to how the crowd, stage lightings, effects and sound system will be like. I think it's great idea but we are still brainstorming are we??

Rock on man!!

The old Capitol Building is now under URA, they have plans for it. I'm not sure if works already started or not. But u may wanna email them and ask.
