Here's one that I have written a very long time ago

See the old lady
Her cart is full of paperbag and cardboard
She's got nobody
To love and take good care of her

She's on her way
to collect all those paperbags and cardboard
she lives all alone
her room is fill with paperbags and cardboard

She dosen't need your sympathy
she dosen't need your care
she dosen't needs your charity
what she longs for is her family
her children threw her out when they don't need her

See the old lady
doing the same old thing
she on her way
collecting all those paperbags and cardboards

this is the lyric from a song I wrote long time ago

thank you

I used to write a lot of lumerick long ago :)
Here is one more , wrote this when I was a teen

Little Girl Blue

She sits all alone in her room
when old blues eyes starts to croon
on a old forty-five

Pa pa never let her go out
when her friends are having
a ball on a saturday night

Little girl bluewhat can you do
You are not yet a woman
you are not a little girl
and you are pa and ma little girl

You can't have a date
you can't stay out late
you can't go to parties
and it's a real heart ache

Little girl blue
what can you do
life is cruel
oh what can you do

I did record 1 song on tape with my first band on cassette tape in a jam session but that was like 25 years ago and the tape is gone a long time ago too :)

here's a song that i wrote almost a year ago. WGB plays this usually only during acoustic shows. it doesn't have a verse/chorus structure. it's called Clarity (it was up on purevolume a while back). also the song is only, like, a minute and a half. lol.

Most of our time is spent apart
most of our year we're far
"intense" is the word that comes to mind whenever we're back together
when i saw you from across the yard
one look and you took my heart
it's content being in its place but it feels it's teathered

and i don't know how she feels about that
if she's sad, if she's mad, if she's glad
but i do know the feeling of waiting and waiting and falling so slowly
breaking your heart is like breaking a glass
i get cut by the shards, i get cut by the past so...

please, i don't know, i don't know, i don't know but it's killing me
please, i don't know, i don't know, i don't know but it's killing me

haha nope it's definitely not 12 bar blues-based. the structure and chord progressions actually come from a piece of classical music that i used to play as a violinist, the Pachabel Canon. i'm sure you've heard of it, a lot of contemporary musicians sample the orchestral music and use it in songs. we have two variations, one is a reggae take of the progression, the other is a chilled out jack johnson kinda version.
