lower power high gain amplifiers?

hye subversion, you have a XXL combo right? how does it sound VS high gain drive pedals and is it overkill for home/bedroom usage?

i've not been using pedals since i own the XXL. plugging my guitar into it is all i need to hear.

as per Mr.E's reply- the XXL has a variable wattage suitable both for bedroom settings & live applications. if you invest in the XXL, drive pedals aren't necessary, unless you are playing its lesser gain options like the Classic/ British options.

Last i checked Malcom has 2 of those left. Reverand has stopped making amps, im guessing those are the last 2 in Seengapor.

The DSL401 has huge reliability issues.
