There's not a need to speak about maturity.
It's perhaps the mindset of metalcore addicts who thinks Metalcore is acceptable to people who have been listening to metal for years.
They are just newbies to the scene and talk big as if they know what metal is.
Don't blame the purists. Don't blame the elitist.

Yea, I grew up on Behemoth and Testament, I definitely am not going accept a bunch of scene kids striding in and associate something like metalcore with metal.

Metalheads, stay metal \M/
 
Music preference is a personal thing. We like certain style/sound, we just like it. No need to go bash other style/sound.

Firstly to Infernox and his like-minded brethren, nobody is talking big around here. Do you see anyone proclaiming that metalcore is THE only kind of metal one can listen to?

Nope.

Secondly, musical likes and dislikes is a matter of one's perspective. I love metalcore/post-hardcore/deathcore and you all may like your old school vintage metal or whatever. The thing is, mature and tolerant people don't go around bashing and flaming other genres. Nobody is asking you to ACCEPT metalcore, nor even LISTEN to it. If you don't like the damn music, shut it off or something cause nobody cares.

Thirdly, typing rubbish behind a computer screen on forums isn't going to do much. Are you seriously expecting the genres you dislike to die down just because of a few choice words? If that was the case, I would have been posting hate threads of Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus all over the shop.

But nope doesn't work. Sorry not in this world.

ANYHOW, the fact of the matter is. Why are you guys even on this thread? You hate the genre, you hate the people listening to it, you hate the fashion and on and on and on.

SO, why bother giving us the attention? Just relax and enjoy life. Life is too short to be typing hate stuff on forums. Do your own thing and chill yes! :D
 
is linkin park counted as metal? I personally thinks that they are not metal and try to create some funny genre with only them inside and let people know how good they are. they are not metal right. (somebody please say they are not.):???:
 
If the local scene's metalcore genre is within touching distance with the type of metalcore i listen to then i'll support.But so far i havent heard of such a band.It'll be great if there was.

You fail to see the point of view of a metalhead.
And you need to learn to read.. that never did i say i hate metalcore... =)
Metalcore listeners have the tendency to ignore those who try to correct them about the genre and rather go by what they feel...

You can't even define what a metalhead is.

Lastly, if you can't take opinions, then why are you in a forum?
A forum is a place where people share their opinions and perspective of things LIKE IT OR NOT.
So be wise... this thread you created, isn't one to call it your own.
