I most definitely concur. Let's keep metal, and metalcore completely separate, in fact, can we put metalcore under 'emo'?
 
I would gladly approve of that... Newbies to the metal scene always try to think they know it all...
Their pride in metalcore is so strong that they don't even realise that they're stepping over the boundaries of the metal genre.

Someone needs to do a rendition of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love A Bad Name".
Call it, "You Give Metal A Bad Name"

Metalcore listeners have the tendency to ignore those who try to correct them about the genre and rather go by what they feel...

You can't even define what a metalhead is.

Haha seriously bro, if you and your ilk represent what metal stands for... I rather listen to radio pop like Britney Spears or something...

Cause for you guys, its either one kind of metal or none.

And metalcore is still a part of metal, whether a lesser cousin in your eyes or what I don't know.

And please do not start the personal attacks like what you did above. Calling people a joke and such.

It kinda reflects badly on the person saying it. But of course that's just my opinion, and you are entitled to one too.

oh come on! why so aggressive? oh yar. metalhead. sorry. yea we are noobs or whatever you wanna call. what you listen is brilliant. what we listen is crap. dude. music is always music. be wise. not for others but yourself. if you didnt like it dont listen nobody is forcing you. its not all about scene you see. behave yourself.

hey guys sorry to invade thread... just to inform you guys that there is a gig this sunday Next Generation 09 at sg arts museum, free admission, and there will be a metalcore band performing (Homicidal Rage). they're playin at 5pm so all you metalcore fans come on down and mosh/kungfu!

what is wrong with metalcore? i'm a grindcore listener, but im not so stuck up to diss my old caliban's Vent album which i bought years ago. which i still think has the sickest breakdowns / melodic passages ever, way ahead of its time.
or are we talking abt the metalcore ppl? or their fashion sense? dun hate them cuz they wear coloured tshirt other than black.:rolleyes:

the joke is... we're a grindcore band playing a metalcore song, which is kind of a no-no (if u check out our myspace, you'll know how we sound like). purposely breaking the stereotypical image of a heavy band has to be 'fierce and serious' all the time. my vocalist hates this song cuz he has to sing clean vocals btw haha. will be in our upcoming album under Reformed Records y'all!
