Hello all!
The show itself is NOT a competition, we'll leave that to Ken Lim and Dick Lee for the upcoming season of Singapore OK, oh sorry, i meant, Singapore Idol.
There is an online rating chart on our website 5.mediacorptv.sg/livenloaded , which is a gauge on what the "scenesters" (sorry i use this word) want to see perform on TV. But that makes up like... 13% of the show content. We have industry's pick (and not Ken Lim, but folks like Leonard Soosay) selecting performers from our online submissions, and we also have producer's choice.
The show is really a showcase of LOCAL talents, and by default, i exclude (for the time being) Campus Superstar winners and Superband winners until my bosses force a chokehold on me and force me to make them perform cartwheel tricks while singing the latest Jason Mraz cover for your mums.
So meantime, it's come on, this is LOCAL MUSIC. I can't guarantee you that all 7 or 8 talents that we showcase each week will go down well with you, but i'm sure a handful will be given props while another will be frowned upon. But that's music isn't it? It doesn't appeal to everyone. If it does, then the band's name is McDonald's and the band's logo has the beloved golden arches.
I hope i'm able to pull this season off and garner bigger support from everyone else to push and request for another season! Because honestly, there are just so many bands and talents out here, and I do not have enough slots to showcase their brilliance.

Afterwhich, it'll follow by the launch of Silhoutte's EP at the *scape Lab. That's a ticketed gig, so if you can't get enough, pay for aural pleasure! It's a great lineup of bands for that one too!
