Joe Satriani Live! At The Grove

DJ Sammy - Heaven

Deftones - around the fur

Hmm.

A long-belated purchase of 3 solid albums:

The Beatles "Let It Be"

Guns N' Roses "Appetite For Destruction"

ZZ Top "Eliminator"

Just before these 3:

Pink Floyd "The Piper At The Gates of Dawn" and "Atom Heart Mother"

Peter Frampton "Frampton Comes Alive!"

The Peter Frampton live album is arguably one of the best live albums I've heard.

In Flames - The Jester Race
Kataklysm - In The Arms Of Devastation
All Shall Perish - The Price Of Existance
Surrender Of Divinity - Manifest Blasphemy
Decapitated - The Negation
Dimension Zero - Silent Night Fever
Dark Tranquillity - Character
Celtic Frost - Monotheist
Anata - Under A Stone With No Inscription
Immortal - Sons Of Northern Darkness

CD Spreeeeeeeeeeeee!

Augie March - Moo You Bloody Choir

Yo La Tengo - I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass

The JB Hi Fis are really well stocked. Somebody oughta boot one of the CD chains back home in the back of the head and pressure them into assembling a stock that even remotely resembles the selection they have here.

I'm down in Melbourne right now and a mate of mine who does the gigging circuit here introduced their stuff to me.

I got the CD from the JB Hi-Fi outlet at Elizabeth Street. Cost me 16 AUD.

3 more for the weekend:

Horned God- Chaos, Bringer of All Revelations (used)

Handful of Hate- Gruesome Splendour

Profundi- The Omega Rising (there is a reason why Jens Ryden bowed out of Naglfar, this is it...)
profundi.jpg

Ryden really showed his calibre with The Omega Rising, it's a one man show- all instruments/ lyrics/ art work by the man!

recording-wise, nothing stellar but he got the BM vibe real well. forgive the naglfar overtones but this album isn't about a musical derivative of his former band. worth every cent.

Neal Schon- electric world (never knew he was the guitarist from Journey...good stuffz)

Aikawa Nanase- RUOK (marty from megadeth and pata from x-japan on guitars!)

The ballad of paul desmond

no wonder! I have been really into them ever since i saw them 7 yrs back in queensland. Good stuff! If you can, trk down their older stuff(thanks for the memes, waltz, sunset studies etc, hmv singapore still have copies of last album, strange bird) while still in melbourne. Its a bit different from moo you bloody choir, but solid songs writing and lyrics imho

Pathein: I've been trying to do that myself bro. Haven't been having much luck either. Haha. Anyway, my time on this trip is running out, but I'll be back here sometime in the first half of next year. I'll check around again then, and if I find them I'll bring back copies for you too. 8)

Incubus - Light Grenades
West Grand Boulevard - Waiting For You
Muse - Black Holes & Revelations
Foo Fighters - Skin And Bones
Plainsunset - The Gift

no prob man. If you wanna more of their stuff, let me know. I have most of their back catalog plus quite a number of unreleased songs from them.
