Line 6 DL4 mods

Anyone know the different list of mods that can be done to this pedal and who can do those mods?

Those that I know so far are volume drop mod, double preset mod, expression mod.

eh.. dont ah.. ditch it and get a nova repeater or nova delay =p

Edit: On a more serious note (lol) check out www.jhspedals.com for a list of the mods they do on DL4. They do this mod called the "Hi-Fi," and an external tap tempo.

haha aiya i got it for really really dirt cheap, $20 bucks cos the previous owner thought it was spoiled. Popped in the One-Spot L6 converter and it worked.

Do you think it'll be safe to DIY a paint job for it? looks quite battered up.

yea, y not? i figure it'd be pretty simple it the cover itself can be taken apart from the chassis? a good can of spray paint of ur choice, a soft grain sand paper.. sand down irregularities.. clear coat.. sand down again.. tadah..

the cover comes of the chassis quite clean an simple. dont know much abt paint tutorials.. once again.. lol just youtube la! oh for your sparkle in the paint job.. just buy like art and craft glitter and like sprinkle it over before u apply the clear coat i guess? sounds like peas.. but try at ur own risk of course =p

No la i was thinking of gold or something. haha. I have one pink-malekko phaser, 2 purple-riot and airplane flanger, 1 green-dano fish and chips, 1 orange-bb preamp, 1 goldish-dano TOD, 2 black- pitchblack and vox wah.

Any suggestions on colours?

Oh btw I asked Randolf for a quote for the mods, he does the volume drop mod, undark mod and replaces the LED to blue ones for 150.

Gold? go for it man! i'd even go to the extent to say if ur gonna bling it.. GO ALL THE WAY. get purple LEDs... pimpin' yo!

theres ultra bright white led available, enough to blind eyesight on dark stage.Those can consider as well.

if still want more, also have tri colour blinking led as well. it will blink through sequence of colours when activated. only concern prolly the switching wiring need to be well isolated if not when its blinking, it will bleed into audio path.

anyway, imho, such decorative mod just do for fun and if having time. if not, its just taking attention from music crafting.

The tri colour LED sounds awesome, but a bit overkill. I would prolly change the LEDs to blue or white. Anyone else besides Randolf who does DL4 mods?

Now that I think about it, the gold from spray cans aren't that nice. Ahhh I'm stuck on which colour to choose. May just paint it red and get the blue LEDs, so that they will stand out more!
