Lime Sonic Bang '08!

well i got too many local bands in my list.
if i have to pick 3, it would be:
1)West Grand Boulevard
2)The Fire Fight
3)Caracal
(They are the ones who can definitely bring the house down!(to me at least))

but if there's more i could recommend, it would be:
1)Postbox
2)Peepshow
3)Allura
4)Armchair Critic
5)Trella
(Now they are the ones who need more attention from the public because they are just so damn good that people don't notice them. =) )

oh for australian/regional wise, could you bring The Antique?
they are just so addictive!

thanks. =)

Dude, I co-wrote one of the songs called 'Drift' for The Antique but I didn't get any songwriting credit on their MySpace. That was so evil of them :) Btw, it was Wayne Thunder, Sean Cheng and Desmond from Electrico who played on that song, not The Antique!

really? you including Sean Cheng, Desmond and the late Wayne Thunder should be given the credits.
sweet melodies and simple yet heartwarming lyrics you guys have there.

it was evil of them to take the full credits. that's very bad of them.
not gonna pin-point who's to blame, but yeah.
nonetheless, they make great music, don't you think so?
but if you can't bring them here, then it's okay with me.
because i just can't wait for LSB to start!

Lol it's not a big deal. I didn't mean it in a malicious way at all. :)

The Antique could be an option but we were looking at perhaps bringing in a slightly more established indie band in Australia (if Australia is indeed the country the foreign band will be from) with perhaps an already growing minor fanbase here already so we can expand on that by helping them promote it in the media even further! Doesn't have to be an Australian band though.

Looks like Plainsunset is a rather clean cut choice here :)

Hehehe, we are all here for my kampung. But please PM me to let me know the rough dates?

We have some shows booked for some of the acts in the later part of the year. So, let's see if you are interested and we can work it out... like how Richard Simmons works it out.

Alright. I'll get in touch with you soon with regards to Plainsunset performing :) As like last year, we will do extensive promotions via the magazine, radio and television to promote the gig. Judging from the posts so far, it's pretty obvious Plainsunet are a shoo-in!

Now... what about the other slots? :D

Bands that are keen to play but shy to speak up before, now is the time you can pimp your band up and suggest yourselves for a slot! :) Keep in mind the following

1) Are you of a professional standard, performance and marketing wise?
2) Are you really able to draw in the big crowds yet?
3) Do you have an album / EP to promote in conjunction to the gig (Might as well use the opportunity to push sales or marketing!)
4) Do you love your staplers?
5) And most importantly of all, what will your band offer to the lineup that other bands do not?

Please do not private msg me about this because the inbox gets pretty full and jams up quite quickly so I don't want to miss anyone out! The key is transparency!

You guys are all sexy beasts and I wish that we could all wear spandex suits and enjoy free love like batman and robin.

Levan

P.S. I am also trying to make sure that the sound is better than last year's LSB, though it doesn't fall under the department I'm in within the c*ntpany, um, company.
