hey there levan, am i too late for this?
My band, "The November Iris" would like to be apart of this event.
here's our link:
www.myspace.com/thenovemberiris
1) Are you of a professional standard, performance and marketing wise?
ans: i guess in a way, hopefully our music helps us in deciding for this question.
2) Are you
really able to draw in the big crowds yet?
ans: to be honest, we certainly hope so. to say that we do seems premature. we rather let our music do the talking for us.
3) Do you have an album / EP to promote in conjunction to the gig (Might as well use the opportunity to push sales or marketing!)
ans: currently we're recording our EP and its most likely to be released in sep if all goes well.
4) Do you love your staplers?
ans: why yes.. i do. i use to paint them with my marker..? (yea okay, i got no idea what i just said)
5) And most importantly of all, what will your band offer to the lineup that other bands do not?[/b]
ans: im sure the bands that ends up playing for this year's lsb would be well deserved, all we wanna do is to be apart of this gig, to be able to play our songs to anyone and everyone, to be there at that very moment having people loving what we have given up so much for, worked really hard for, to just simply create memories.
oh and if i were to choose 3 bands? i would vote for.
1) For Better Endings <-- they are very impressive, you cant go wrong by getting them to play for lsb. trust me. i cant think of any other band that deserves this slot more than these guys do.
their songs are very well written and they have an amazing stage presence. i really hope they go really far musically, they just simply deserve any or all the attention they can get from people in here and overseas and on top of that, they are just plain damn sincere bunch of people.
2) Duxton Plains <-- i really enjoy listening to their songs, in fact i think they are definitely gonna blow everyone's mind away when they release their EP. well for me, i think their songs are catchy and again, i must say. i love their guitar riffs, their songs are well written as well.
3) Deafening Silence <-- wow hey, the vocalist for this band, maaaan she can sing damn well. she sings with such strong voice and totally in control of her voice, someone who's able to hit those high keys with no problem at all. the band is going places now. good for them. i think they should play this year.
4) for overseas.. hmm i guess. "whence he came"
they played for baybeats a couple of years ago. the band's kinda cool.
i guess that would be all, i hope im not too late in posting for this thread. thanks again. cya.
