Lefties!

Hi everyone! For those who don't know, I'm a left handed guitarist, and always struggle with the main problems we lefties face daily, mainly speaking, the lack of choices of guitars to select.

My main reason of this thread is to ask, where can I find good lefties? Its always hard as I'm not well-off and can't afford CUSTOM made left handed guitars.

So if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

what's your budget? I'm a lefty (HAHA YAY WE RULE) anyway, I've just reversed my strings on a normal right-handed guitar.

If you have a rather tightish budget, I saw a couple of lefty Samick guitars in Davis, there are a few in Yamaha in Plaza Singapura too.
Alternatively, if you have more money to spend, you could look into asking a guitar shop to bring in a left handed model for you should you wish (:

hope this helps somewhat!

Another lefty here.. I got a good deal on a Cort 250g a while back at Sweelee.. replaced the pickups with Duncans and it sounds great.

You can order lefty MIJ fenders at G77 too (around 1k with shipping I think) :)

haha thanks for all your help

1) No I'm a guy

2) I was thinking if i could ask shops to custom order for me

i'm a lefty but play guitar and drums the right handed way. so i dunno. i follow the fascist rule of the right handed person.

Hiya, I'm a lefty player too =)

What is yr budget for yr guitar? without yr budget it's hard to plan wor =)

For decent and mod-able guitars, u can try

Yamaha 400 - 500

SX 200

J&D 200?

Sammick 250

If u got lots of cash

Go n order a Fender Japan from Guitar 77!!!

Or order a POT

Actually I'm a right hander(when i write), but i have no idea why i play left handed guitar. Its feels comfortable compared to a right handed one...some of my friends have tried to steer me in the RIGHT path, but I just felt it wasn't comfortable at all for me

Take heart, in guitar-ing, there isn't any right or wrong, unless it will injure you. Look at Marty Friedman's picking technique. No teacher will recommend his student to pick like that, most will feel the strain, but Marty's okay.. well, maybe in 10 more years will see any possible side effects. :D

I write with my left hand, but my master hand is my right, kinda cool eh? Heh.

Btw, if you do get the Ibanez JEM555 lefty, please ensure it comes with the Edge Pro II tremolo (lastest models), not the inferior ILT1 trem.

When i have the cash to buy another electric, a lefty, then i'll try. Hahahaha... but MAB is sometimes more gimicky IMO... There's some seriously insane ambidexterous guitarists around, its frightening...

There's this guy, can't rem his name, but he has incredible two handed guitar playing... and he has the world's worst guitar face.

Why buy a lefty OFR rose (unless you need 7 string, OFR lefty 7 is best) when you can get a lefty Gotoh?

www.universaljems.com its there.

For the Ibanez Edge system, lo pro Edge, Edge II, Edge 3, Edge Pro, you can just drill a hole on the other side of the trem (they are made to accomondate lefties) and you got a lefty Edge-variant.

nope, I got a customer who wants me to do up a lefty strat with lefty floyd rose..

dunthink cant do.. 8)

you can buy the floyd @ that universaljems.com link... but the route, if the routing follows the OFR, must be a lefty route... since the OFR is not symetrical.

Either licensed or Original, there's lefty if the guy will pay. For licensed, universaljems has the lefty Gotoh, the best OFR styled floyd, better than the current OFRs.
