Both can be connected by midi. The question is: do you know why you want to connect them? Do you want Kaoss to control the parameters of X50 or vice versa?
The KP1, KP2 and KP3 are table top effects units yes... but it has a built in synth engine as well (hence the few synth patches) ... but minimal... They have built in sampler as well (KP2 has two tracks, KP3 has 4 tracks) ... it's a great toy
yes you can, most simplest way is to get 2 rca to 1/4' jack cable to connect. But unfortunately, these be lost of high frequency and volume, making it pretty much useless.
kp meant to be use with line level instrument instead of guitar and bass signal level. .
the way which i use the kp with guitar is to build a active looper with clean boost to push the post kp effect to unity volume as guitar signal and blend together, controlled via expression pedal on the amount of mix between unaffected guitar signal and effected KP signal
Pathein bro power sia... doesn't matter where he got his... when it's not enough he will build his own. He is in another league... anyway, I use mic in for the guitar sounds, but I don't know how to play guitar anyway so I use them as sounds... so in that sense, it depends on what you want to achieve...
The only issue I felt is that some effects, by bringing the effects volume up, will cut the signal in (eg delay 9... ) that means by bringing the effects volume up will relatively cut the signal in... some effects doesn't (Delay 4,5,10... grain5) so I know why Pathein need to use a volume pedal on top... I wonder why KORG built it in such a way... still it's a wonderful toy...
You CAN play guitar or bass with a KP because it has a touch memory for KP2 and KP3 ... you can "pre-record" the movement on the pad and set it going on auto and then play whatever you need to play... It's up to you want you want to do... cheers
