is it hard to get this?

its like the keyboard became your mouth, you are able to express whatever note or melody your mind is humming. reading scores is just like reading newspapers, reading a unknown score and playing is just as like reading out aloud a newspaper article you never read before.

Interesting.....my piano teacher can do that. He sings each note as he plays. He says that each note is like a alphabet and each chord like a vocabulary. So music is his way of expression.

For pianists, that's quite normal. If you're trained in reading orchestral scores, then it gets even easier since you're trained to read multiple instrumental lines at the same time, each with different melody. And the whole score sounds in your head - just like reading a book.
