Just to share: John Mayes #7 in the house

Hi all, i have the chance to babysit this Mayes #7 metallic blue doublecut Jr, with single Lollar P90. The entire guitar is handmade and oozes with quality and meticulous attention. Also for those who like fat neck, this is oh so comfortable and makes your vibrato sustain longer while lead tones sing. The single lollar is damn sweet....whether you dig hard or lightly, it will respond to you.
Oh ya, maybe the owner can chime in...he has another equally lovely piece.

Awww man, i wanted to buy this... back when John Mayes was having the offer of a first run of his Bombshell guitars.

He seems to be an experienced luthier and the reports on his guitars seem very ... good & balanced. The buyers seem to know what they are after and Mr Mayes seems to deliver a great product.

I even emailed Mayers for a while and he was top notch in his responses. The dude actually knows guitar making.

I believe the bridge should be tonepros adjustable bridge.
Simply stunning.

Ello my fren, you are right. Its the tonepros bridge. Anyway here's 2 more pics. I have tried this baby through an openhaus and its such a killer tone (not my playing though). Me and the owner looked at each other...hee hee...

Ha....No la. The doublecut i am keepin. Both are just world apart in terms of construction, parts, pots and pickups. Although i must say the Mayes 7 is sweeter la...
