Jamming Studio; Drum Facilities.

weelee at upper serangoon, ive been there before, i think e drums are fine, but the cymbals are bad man.. like plastic? sabian solar cymbals? back to e drums, theyre fine but muffled quite a bit, tissue papers and all, with insanely beaten up dw4000s.. there you go hahaha

I'm sorry if this is mentioned before, but I've not followed this thread.

I can't stand studios that insult drummers by making a studio operational with cracked cymbals and using a hi-hat top/bottom as a replacement cymbal. It's so annoying!!

Well, my last experience was about 3 years ago. Is it still that deplorable?

yeah bro... the one at boon..
they haf broken cymbals...
hahahah.. but sumtimes i make use of them like china... or effect stuffs ah......
but i sort of like the drums tho.....
plus the mike up.... ahhaha

anyway, i got a taste of Tiet studio past few days....
and played in the member's studio...
i must say not bad.. but a bit cramp on the drums side
but wat the heck.. almost all the place are like that ryte???

Tell me about it! I am 1.83m tall and I always had to move the drums away from the walls. But it's a small hassle. But the cymbals... Ohhh... horrors of horror, really can kill a jamming sessions at times. But I agree with u about using those thrashed cymbals as efx crashes. They sound pretty interesting.

go ahead and try bro....
but i onli managed to try the member's studio...
not sure about the rest of the studio of how it feels like seating on the throne and playing the drums...

but one thing tho, i hate it when both the bass and guitar amp are facing perpendicularly to you..
i mean.. you cant almost cant hear anything....

Hey guys, of all the jam studios ive been to, In my humble opinion, Im ranking them in order of the best drumset/cymbals.

1) 4tones (Big Room)
2) Beat Merchnts (Glass Room)
3) Beat Merchants (Big Room)
4) Music Ensemble (Peace Centre)
5) Wee Lee (Last Room)
6) Wee LEe (1st room)
7) Wee lee (3rd room)

wee lee 3rd room?
wah.. thats the big one izit??
i find that room a bit hard for me as the amps are perpendicular to me
i cant quite hear the guitars

and also the mike's wire arent long enuf for me
(not for the drums, but for me to sing while playing the drums)
hee hee *sheepishly*

Seriously Wee Lee's equipment is an eclectic mix. Mismatched sticks, pedals tat need servicing and rooms tat need freshener are some of the common traits. Drums are mostly Export. Try it if u wan, jus dun expect it to match up to the newer and better studios.

agree bliss suicide. when i go to better studios like tiet, fourtones, daisyrock?, i enjoy myself there and i come out feeling good abt the music and the equipment, but when i come out frm weelee, its like.. ive gotta part with 6bucks.nicee day todae..
