drummers

My place Room A rents out the whole studio for drummers to practice at $12 per hour. Consists of 6pc Yamaha Stage Custom. Sabians, maple snare. Kalai from sweelee said the drum can sing! Wonder what song man...

Room B is at $8 per hour. Tama swingstar 5 pc. Pacific Double peds, paiste.

Seriously, if what u need is just to practise your strokes and the groove, does it matter if its 300 bucks or 30k drumset?

My preference : the cheaper the better, cos if u can make any drumkit sound good, then u are there my brother......

Fourtones... I've played in the big room before. ONCE only...LOL

It's located somewhere in South Bridge road, near Clark Quay.
I've been there once but details are fuzzy, excuse my lack of detail.

The big room that I jammed in had:
7pc Pearl kit (1 kick, 1 snare, 5 toms) with Evans drumheads and an double pedal patch
Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide doubles
Sabian cymbals, a medium and heavy crash, splash, china and ride cymbal.

Fyewerks in Katong was not really good before the management changed this year.
It had bashed up carlos kits, some with holes in the skin and cracked Zildjian cymbals.

With the new management, the kits were changed to Gretch Catalina Birches but they were not well mantained either.

Heartbreaking to see decimated kits.

yep, thats rite fourtones is located there, at south bridge road near clark quay. and it is a walking distance from funan. jus walk across the bridge and go a bit further down and u hit funan. less than 5mins walk. i luv that area, basically where all the music thing r happening (city hall mrt and around). close to bras basah, excelsior, and loads of studios!

I figured it would be better associated with Clark Quay MRT.
Anyway, 4tones is using the kit you described in the small room is it?
Because I doubt they'd put an expensive pedal like Elims in the lower end room.
Perhaps it's one of those low end pearl double pedal sets?
http://www.pearldrum.com/p1000_2fb.htm

Because the Eliminators are pretty high end, like second best choice to Axis.

hh

Yes my friend Fourtones uses Pearl Eliminator for its 2nd room. besides e' 2nd room is also meant for drummers who practices alone or having lessons at times. but again, it all depends on individuals, but Majority likes the Cobras to e' Elim. n to me Pearl Eliminators r meant only for certain players who really r particular in their needs.

Pearl Elims... I've always wanted to try them.

Are there option to switch to a different colored cam? Or is there just a fixed one?
If fixed, what color?

tried one hahaha its smooth, too smooth for me. i still love my yamaha for some reason, it just suits me perfectly.

Yamaha what model?
I got me them direct drive models: DFP 9410...
I like the adjustability... feel is mmkay... not different from chain pedals.
