HELLO FELLOW SOFTies.

I was thinking of compiling a list of the equipments in the jamming studio for us drummers. If possible, please include the name, address, equipemts and possibly, price of the place. Thanks alot.

Alvron

i know one thing for sure.. alvron's 18 dollars an hour super lousy drumset.. no drum throne.. pedals from hell..

dude i know the drums for ming's arcade sucks man.

the keys are good - 3 keyboards
guitar - 3 electric guitars with ample amps
drums - SHIT!
the cymbals are cracked, has squash tape on some parts, you can fall of the throne and the bass drum pretty much is crapped too.

..

the best drumset is still the one in my house.. :P seriously, there is no great drumsets everywhere in Singapore la.. i mean, they can invest great amps in those studios, because they don't spoil easily since u just plug the guitars to them, and they are manufactured to last all that 300+ watts, since u don't actually get to power them till the max in that room - you get deaf man.

I have only seen one of the better drumsets.. its like in tiet studios.. members-haven only.. 20 bux an hour.. DW collectors edition (rocks - its like $7k), korg triton ($4k).. blah blah.

wah! not bad you have damn high quality taste. come on dw and korg triton? no one needs that good of a quality man.

..

hahha.. used to it already la.. :) i get frustrated when i compare my ideal set at home to those studio ones. Its not as easily adaptable for us drummers than guitarists man.. Come to think of it.. 20 per hour.. split the bill.. maybe its 1-2 bux more per person only.. hahaha.. not too bad la. i'm building up my personal studio at home also.. now got a 12k drumkit in there, and i might get guitar tube stacks.. see how first..

wah! not bad... im still saving for my istanbul cymbals man. yea but i agree... some studios have totally crappy drumsets.

yeah bro... wee lee for example.....
the guy din really take care much of the drumsets....
and for boon, the drumstes are nice, but the cymbals... not to my liking

yeah i suppose tiet has the best drumsets..that last room only avaliable to members have dw drums man..totally shiok..

i think fourtones is quite ok, though the use pretty entry level cymbals

but the stuff there is well mantined and the drum sets rock. (yamaha stage custom and pearl export)

i guess if u bring ur own cymbals there it'd be perfect, like what i do

The only studio I jam now is Tiet, and only in the Tiet members' room. Its using a 6-pc DW Workshop kit and cymbals, while not top class, still sounds better than the average studios, hell, it comes wif a splash and china too. The yamaha pedals though, are a bit to be desired. I always have to fix it whenever i jam cos apparently everyone there hu uses the set managed to undo, in one way or another, all those hinges, springs and bolts. Maybe shld be a part-time drum-tech there. But its one of the better sounding studios somewat wif other great equipments complementing the drumset. Oh ya, by the way, the pricing may be 20 per hour, but if u take more than 1hr, it will b 18 per hour.

my drum teacher works there part-time, and he used to own the pearl drums in the smallest room..

i guess setup wise its quite subjective...

some drummers prefer a 4 piece set up...some 5 or more...2 left 1 down...that kinda thing...

and i kinda gree with what boyzngerz said. the best drumset is still the 1 in your house, because its something you're comfortable with and play best on ( hopefully haha ) :)

FOURTONES drumsets are good man!

7-piece set..
Toms are well-tuned i must say..
Double pedal is OK..
Bass drum is OK..
Cymbals are ok..
everything is up to the standard i guess..

but i prefer my own cymbals.. so everytime,i'll bring my cymbals whenever i go there to jam.. Nazri knows that.. .ahhas..

FOURTONES drumsets kick ass!
