Jade Seah swears on National TV

Must adjust tone and volume knob first. And then must have feel ;)

lol, if not good enough can add pre amp to adjust it.
lol.

haha.

but i think a more fundamental question to ask ourselves would be what constitutes a vulgarity?
what makes a vulgarity a vulgarity?

would saying a particular word in english have the same effect as saying a word in say hokkien? although both words have the same meaning, the connotations are different.

so what makes the connotation different?

just a few of my thoughts lah.
haha

YOu know, this was bound to happen sooner or later. Did anyone watch the part in one of the episodes where she say champion chip when i am very sure she meant championships. But oh well, Singapore TV has to start somewhere and i have seen worst.

Good looker, way bad presenter. To quote a friend, i pity Mark Richmond, he gets paired with the worst all the time...:S

i love jade seah but shes a horrible news anchor.

Sad but true.

She's no Collette Wong but at least Mediacorp could have gotten someone with a sports reporting or news anchoring background.

No doubt she's a looker though.

I think Jamie Yeo would be a better choice...at least she has some experience as a sports presentor and has MUCH BETTER DICTION. just dont ask her to present on EPL :p

looks wise, well thats besides the point of this whole thread....but i can say i've seen better....

man this just mkes me love her more man.rock and roll dudee!!!no big deal aniwes.ha wondered wad made her say it man.hms.eithr way i love her.lol

haha, i thought the threadstarter's intention was more on the act of swearing rather than who did the swearing.
lol, the thread seem to go out of point lah.haha

juz my opinion though.=]=]

probably, they want to make everything so old fashion.

they think everything must be follow the muslim laws.

Like trying to stop musicians who are 'non-islamic', and don't want their youth to follow someone who's prancing around on stage like a monkey. WTF?

I mean wif all due respect, muslims are a large part of the nation there. But there's also Indians and Chinese, to be like this is really quite overboard.

oh well they all boleh

you must understand the concept of "malaysia BOLEH!"...

it means that they restrict alot of shit, but in the end, everything still BOLEH!

at first they wanted to cancel avril lavigne's concert because it was "too sexy"
but the organisers told the govt that they were gonna piss off thousands of ticket holders. and then suddenly not so sexy anymore
in the end... BOLEH!

With all due respect, please have a better understanding on the concept of Islamic code and Syariah law before commenting something immaturely like this. Malaysia, though a democratic and multi-racial country, is not a secular nation. Malaysia may not be an Islamic state per say now, but it has always leans towards the Islamic code and Syariah law as the leaders and majority of its people are made up of the Malay-Muslim community plus historically Malaya was once made up of Sultan-runned "Islamic states". So the cognotition will always be there.

To Spinofdoom:

If you're talking about the pushing of Islamic laws on Non-Muslims, that is called extremism and only a few Muslims are like that. Most Muslims I find they are very peaceful and we all can get along. It's extremists we have to worry about, and there can be Christian extremists, Satanist extremists, Buddhist extremists, etc. So please think about what you're saying before posting because your post might offend people.
