I heard from friends who are hardcore Jpop fans,
they said Yoshiki was a sick boy when he was young,
so sick that he can't go out of the house to play with friends.

He end up playing the piano everyday, drums wise I'm not sure
how he pick it up.


But very few in rock or music industry that a drummer is the leader.

He picked up the drums at the age of 10. I guess he started listening to hard rock and 70/80s punk rock which spurred him to take up the drums at that age.

and partly of his medical condition(he fall off his drumming paltform), his doctor advise not to drum anymore as it might affect his affect his spine
