Ipod HELP!!!!

not sure if im suppose to post this here but yeah....

i can only hear the right side of my earphones.
the earphones are perfectly fine its the ipod.
i have no warranty and the apple ppl told me itll cost the price of a new one to get it repaired.

when i press and hold down on the screen the left side works again but this might cos my screen to spoil. i think something is loose on the inside.
i wanna try to fix it DIY stlye but im afraid ill screw up.ive tried getting help from sites but its kinda confusing.

is anyone able to help me?

one solution..save up for a new mp3 player.

u dont need the receipt. if im right , they can check for your warranty thru the serial number on the back of the ipod.

ive just been told by a fellow softie tht theres a shop called the "pod shop" which isnt by the apple ppl and they charge less for repairs

You can try coming over to diversitec distributors,
we have an authorized apple service centre.

We're at 970 Toa Payoh North
#02-08 is the main office, the service centre is on the ground floor.

Try looking for Rama, he's the hardware guy.

doesnt tht mean itll cost the same price as going to the appl shops at cineleisure or wheelock?
