In hunt for a new piece.

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check the reviews online soon. There isn't any dealers who carries SUHRs right?

Its a new guitar released only from this year's Namm show. Reviews are not much. So far less then 20 pieces have been made and shipped worldwide i think. Its on a made to order basis only, with the availibility of custom specs if you request them. Order them from Tone Merchants or index. A few of us here ordered our suhrs from those two dealers online. Nothing but great customer service, great prices and esp. great after market service.

Buying from a dealer here is not recommended as the suhrs here are just overpriced. With shipping included, i saved a good $600 bucks as opposed to buying here. I dare say not a single one of my friends have bought their suhr from a local dealer and its for a reason. The other suhr dealer ...well. Its been two years since they were a dealer and not even a suhr t-shirt or pickup. Nuff' said.

You prob will have to stick to the ibanez rg or s series unless u go for a custom.
Do note a custom will cost u a lot more in comparsion to a midrange ibanez rg/s.

Eg a top of the range neck from warmoth would already be around us200+, body also around us300+. We haven't even started talking about the finishing and other parts yet. A good floyd rose eg. schaller or original floyd will start around us 200 to us 300+.

Thats already us$800 and we haven't even started building the guitar yet!!

In comparison u can get a midrange rg/s prob for just under a S$1000 for your specs. s$1500 for something slightly better.

Also if you're willing to go for a h-h instead of a h-s-h. There are a lot of other brands that carry the rest of your configuration.

Did I hear HSH with Floyd??

How about a HSSH with Floyd?!

Yeah, customizing is always more expensive; hope I wouldn't have to resort to that. Gotta keep scouting! Thanks bro.

RG770dx Re-issue.

But im not sure whether you will be able to get your hand on 1, cause it's gonna be limited edition. No confirmation yet, you might want to wait until June when they officially announce what guitar is it.

2008 SUMMER NAMM LIMITED RG RE-ISSUE! - News & Announcements - Ibanez Forum
Ibanez Ltd Ed RG770DX Reissue in Ruby Red Andertons Music Co Guildford Surrey

That is a real beauty.

Wonder what the price will be like since it is so limited. And if there are limited releases in other parts of the world.

yup i love the colored shark inlays. I believe they will release it in other countries as well..its not something like an anniversery model that they will only limit to 25pieces in UK, even Jem 20th has more. Keep your finger cross and wait for summer namm yeah.

ahh..ESP..theres still edwards..something which you can afford. dont take the price on ESP website, check with Japan dealers, eg. ishibashi, the selling price is definetly lower

That is really really beautiful.

Ishibashi doesn't ship out of Japan anymore isn't it? Due to some legal issues? Or was it only for Fender Japan?

im not too sure about this, i was told by a friend recently that they dont ship out of Japan as well, but the last time i check with them in March, they still ship out effects though. Best you email them.

you might want to browse through this website as well, they indicate they will ship some of the guitars for international customers.

how about, you get a H-H guitar that you really LURVE and then rout a middle pickup slot for a single coil to get your H-S-H?

solves a lot of ur problems innit?
