Btw, food for thought (going out of topic for a bit)... anyone ever thought of having the jack of the guitar allocated on the pickguard instead, just so you can swap pickguards (and all the electronics) with guitars of same pickguard dimension, without the need for soldering iron?
Imagine that. 1 Strat, god-knows-how-many-pickguards-with-different pickup-config.

one push pull pot for the neck tone control to split coil for both,
one pushpull pot for the neck volume as a killswitch for both pup,
