Loving your guitar, guessing its a custom from USACG? Mine sharing how much the total guitar cost you roughly?
Always been my dream to get myself a custom guitar, was thinking a warmoth strat with reverse angled fender headstock and the angled neck joint. However a quick calculation of the total costs including all the parts I wanted quickly brought me back to earth
Yes, it is a USACG parts guitar. Total cost with setup approx 2.8k
Frankly, going the custom route, getting a good luthier to put it together (Malcolm did mine) and getting quality parts - you would prob end up with a much better instrument. Go for it. I'm sure your 2 ibanez guitars, in total, would have cost you a fair bit. If not now, then when?

Thanks for the breakdown, that actually lower than what I thought since USACG seems pricier than Warmoth. Actually, I agree with your points, I think the main problem is that to know what you like, you have to play a whole lot of guitars then choose the best from each. Especially with a custom since resale value is gonna take a huge hit. Guess I am still in the 'searching' stage..

hahaha. i like to change my musical taste once in awhile.i dont really use mi superstrats for those softer, i would describe as 'less extreme form of music'. i got a yamaha strat copy for that purpose. use it for all those blues, country, pop stuff i play once in awhile. superstrats mainly for the metal, instrumental and rock stuff cause i love to use the floating bridge for that kindda of stuff.
xkulsivly4u thats a sweet rg. i've never seen a prestige with tree of life inlay before. is that a j custom? shouldnt they come with j custom ibanez logos instead of prestige ibanez logo?

It's limited edition RG2820 not J-custom. I am thinking to get a J-custom but can't decide between new JEM and J-custom.

Whitestrat: got it many years ago. 2nd hand off some dude who owned it for like a week then decided to sell it off. its one of the axes i've never intended to sell before. very lovely playing guitar. it's one of my 2 main guitars i use for giggin. haha.
