the rust on the pickups are fine actually. the decision to whether you should change the pickups or not should be based on other factors like do you like the sound/tone of the current pickups?

btw, i think you need to get it setup. the bridge don't look like it stays in tune well, and also the intonation might be off too.

Can I just ask how come you didn't check the guitar before buying? I didn't notice the rust till u made it so blardy obvious with those microscopic pictures. But anyway, yeah I'll refund u 100% of your money since u don't want it.

Either I sell it again, or I'll just keep it what the hell, doesn't affect the sound at all. If there's anyone who don't mind a rusty pickup, I'm selling it. Pm me.

is it me or is the floyd rose floating like crazy?haha and for someone neew to guitar a floyd rose can be a bitch to change strings haha

but really much of the rust is wipeable execpt for a few parts; after they told me to rub off with oil. quality of the sound and playing is perfect, cosmetic wise this guitar is almost mint, like i said except for a small chip on the side and few scratches on the knobs.

i can't keep this guitar because its not what i always wanted (i always wanted a strat). its still very worth it no matter especially with a really nice-sounding ibanez amp jaycomposer is selling too.

and its also because you never told me it was a rusty pickup, the impression i had when u mentioned very good condition and kept in ur bag for 9months is that its mint in not just the finishing but also every detail.

i wanna make myself clear 1. your pickups are rusty when you passed to me but i could rubbed off most of it 2. this guitar plays great, amp is great, cosmetics is almost mint except for 1 small chip at the side 3. i never say its a bad guitar or try to make the flaws bloody obvious 4. i hope you don't misunderstand my intentions

and like sub said and he reassured in a private message to me, this guitar alone is worth $550+-, and can be bargained down to minimum $480+-, no matter what you still can sell this guitar for more than what u sold me? (i thank you very much for the deal still)

and given the situation, i can always sell ur guitar and amp separately here in soft to earn some extra cash but i wont do it because this is your guitar! and its because of ur generosity that you sell it to me at a cheaper price. so i will return it to you so that you can sell it urself for a better price.

so see ya tonight 9pm, hope u don't feel antagonistic about it man and chill, no misunderstandings, alright 8)

Yeah I didn't realise the rust part cos didn't take a closer look, sorry about it. Anyway, like Edder says, it's like Days of Our Lives, goes on and on and it's getting draggy that's why I just wanna sell it at $450.

And also after this very public thread, dunno if anyone will want to buy the guitar or not, which is really wasted cos it's just a very normal Ibanez RG370DX, which pick up don't rust? Unless solid platinum or what lah.

It should be in a better condition than anyone can expect of a 1 and half year old guitar, after all it's still second-hand not brand new.

I understand lah Reid, you should probably go get a brand new guitar so that there's less issues regarding pick ups and bridges and even this floyd-rose thing which I have totally no idea about.

So, welcome back my dear Guitar.

And thanks Reid for the pictures so I don't have to figure out how to upload. Though it'll be nice if they were more flattering...:p

FYI, $450 is for guitar only, selling amp separately, unless buyer wants amp too then I'll sell cheaper to the same person.

What is a reasonable price for the amp, does anyone have an idea??

And better check carefully, will not entertain any refunds due to whatever thing that I cannot foresee at the moment, unless there's a very good reason like... Like what? Yah like after you buy it the next day it doesn't work anymore, and even then I don't see how it's my fault.

Interested buyers are welcomed to test-play the guitar, in toa payoh. I can be contacted at 91226413, sms only thanks, low hp credit, a phone call will wipe it out.

Yeah please move this whole thread there if you can, but can just anyone tell me how much I should sell the amp for? Is $150 reasonable?

bro- i suggest you start a new thread @ the buy/ sell thread because there are info here which might confuse potential buyers.

how much for that amp? $100+/-
